	My 2008 campaign platform will be center around seven major themes: Develop and secure dependable funding sources for City operations while carefully monitoring the City of El Cerrito’s economic viability in the current economic downturn. Maintain effective public safety services. Support a positive and productive relationship for economic development with the community and local businesses and organizations. Support and promote sensible revitalization and new development for quality housing and commercial development that compliments the City and meets State housing requirements. Support the protection and maintenance of open space, natural resources, and recreational areas. Continue to improve and develop City facilities and infrastructure. Establish and support community sustainability and “green” environmental goals.
